With Spring rapidly approaching it’s an exciting time of year, with manufacturers like Outwell revealing camping products for the new camping year. We’ve rounded up a few of the best new releases, read on to find out more.
Outwell ECOlux Energy Efficient Coolboxes
A decent coolbox is a must for summer camping trips and the new Outwell ECOlux is powered either by 12V or 230V supplies with controls that feature a USB port, neatly hidden behind a protective cover.
The ECOlux coolbox is avaialable in 24L and 35L sizes. The larger 35L model features a split lid that allows quick access, which helps to minimise temperature disruption. It also has features a handy battery alarm to help prevent running your car battery flat when in use. It’s also worth noting that many solar power hubs, like the HUBi 10k feature a 12v socket, and will effectively run a Coolbox like this.
The ECOlux 35L has an RRP of £164.99, whilst the ECOlux 24L has an RRP of £119.99.
Pre-order the ECOlux 35L £159.99
Outwell Shearwater Coolbags
The latest Shearwater coolbag from Outwell offers three different sizes with 8mm foam insulation that provides cooling for 9 hours. The top lids of the coolbags open fully to allow for easy packing, and there’s also a smaller access panel that means items like drinks can easily be removed.
The bags feature an adjustable shoulder strap and inside there are attachment points for mesh dividers to hold Outwell Ice Blocks.
The Outwell Shearwater coolbag comes in a choice of 3 different sizes, with an RRP of £32.99, £26.99 and £21.99 respectively.
Outwell Cardinal Sleeping Bags
Cardinal double sleeping bag
We’re intruiged by the looks of the new Outwell Cardinal sleeping bag, which we’ll be reveiwing very soon. It’s available as a single or double, and it features an innovative sleeping bag/duvet design. These sleeping bags are actually completely zipperless (apart from a foot vent zip) and provide easy access thanks to their specially shaped opening.
The Cardinal sleeping bags have an integrated pillow and have a comfortable polycotton inner. The duvet component provides flexibility in use and it can be folded back if you get too warm. The bags are slightly tapered at the foot, so aren’t as restrictive as a tranditional mummy bag but still provide extra warmth.
The Cardinal single sleeping bag is £784.99 and the Cardinal double sleeping bag is £114.99 from Go Outdoors.
Outwell Colosseum Sleeping Bags
Colosseum XL sleeping bag
Choose from the single XL (above), or single and double options (shown below) which all feature twin zips for flexible use in varying temperature conditions. With a full-length zip on one side plus a halfway opening zip on the other, cosy insulation can be flipped up in cold weather or folded back for comfort on warmer nights.
Colossum Double Sleeping bag
Zip baffles with anti-snag running avoid cold spots. Colosseum sleeping bags use two-layer offset Isofill insulation between the polycotton inner and outer.
Colosseum single sleeping bag
