Back in September, I was invited to join a small group of journalists to visit the Outwell head office over in Denmark, giving us the chance to see some highlights from the new 2018 camping range for not only Outwell, but Robens and Easy Camp too.
Touring their showroom, I felt like a child in a sweet shop! With so many funky products and clever new designs vying for attention there was an awful lot to take in, but getting to talk to members of the Outwell, Robens and Easy Camp teams was a big help.
We also got to talk to some of the product designers and ask as many questions as we wanted, which provided us with a superb level of insight into the new 2018 range.
Launched today, I’m super excited to finally be able to reveal some of my top picks for 2018 below.
Easy Camp 2018 Highlights
Aimed at budget conscious campers, young families and festival goers, Easy Camp have several vast new ranges for 2018. The range that most grabbed my attention has to be the new Bohemian Carnival range thought. There are two different patterns across a number of different styles of tents and accessories, both of which are absolutely stunning!
Carnival Festival Range
Festival campers will love the new Bohemian designs in the 2018 Carnival tent range consisting of coordinating tents and accessories. The focus is on simple tents that are quick and easy to put up, with prints designed to help campers stand out. The new tents feature taped seams and are so pretty the hope is they will be used time and time again and not left behind at the festival like so many people seem to do these days!

The new Easy Camp Bohemian Carnival range includes matching chairs, sleeping bags and 4 different types of tent;
- Daybreak and Nighttide popup for 2 people
- Daydreamer and Nightwalker ridge tent for 2 people
- Daylily and Nightfall single hoop tent for 2 people
- Dayhaven and Nightshae tipi tent for 4 people
Even on a rainy day, the Daylily tent is bright and vibrant and looks stunning pitched up RRP £49.99.
Explore Range
The Explore range struck me as ideal for small families and young couples. I particularly like the spacious Galaxy 400 which is a standing height tent, with separate living space.
Easy Camp Explore Galaxy 400 RRP £189.99.
New Expanded Camp Furniture Range
The Easy Camp range is using this vibrant teal colour across its range, which is one of my favourite colours. I think furniture like the new Pampas folding camp bed (below) looks fabulous.
New Easy Camp Pampas folding camp bed RRP £48.99.
Adventure Accessories
For those wishing to explore the outdoors without spending a small fortune, the adventure accessories range from Easy Camp includes everything you’ll need for your camping trip. Including compact kettles, space saving lanterns and even some very funky illuminated tent pegs.

Urban Daysacks
As well as a great value range of daysacks for exploring and walking, I particularly liked the funky 28L Indianopolis backpack which comes in coffee or denim colour, and the smaller Sacramento (shown below) with a 24L capacity.
The new Sacramento backpacks from Easy Camp RRP £37.99.
Robens 2018 Highlights
Robens tents and camping accessories provide the ultimate in camping innovation, with expedition tents and sleeping bags built to withstand the harshest elements, a family camping range designed to be as sturdy, yet portable as possible and a superb bushcraft range. I fell in love with so many Robens tents and accessories It’s hard to choose just a few highlights!
Trapper Tent
Is it a bell tent or is it a regular tent? I love this funky little hybrid tent that looks like a regular modern tent at the front, but has the rear end of a dinky little bell tent. How cool is that? It’s fast to pitch, is made from HydroTex Polycotton and sleeps up to 4 people.
Trapper Tent RPP £749.99.
Trekker Tables
The Trekker L and XL tables are brand new and fold to around half the packed size of similar tables and feature a bamboo top which looks beautiful. After having taken one down and put it up again, the Trekker L is now high up on my camping wish list!
Trekker table shown with the Settler chair RRP £54.99.
The new Robens Trekker L Camp Table RRP £114.99.
Cabin 600 Tent
Back for 2018, the Robens Cabin 600 tent was one of my favourite tents. Superb quality throughout and a brilliant technical spec including a 5000 mm hydrostatic head and a black-out ceiling.
Robens Cabin 600 tent RRP £799.99.
Crevasse Sleeping Bag
Availabele in two different sizes, I loved the design of the new Robens Cravasse sleeping bags. With an innovate zip style, the foot box also unzips; ideal for warmer weather and the mummy-like design of the bag means it will keep you warm in chilly weather, but without being too restrictive.
The new Robens Crevasse I sleeping bag RRP £109.99.
Bushcraft Range
The bushcraft range from Robens includes everything you need to fend for yourself in the great outdoors. From sturdy cast iron pans to wood burning stoves, the range is packed full of stunning quality outdoors and camping equipment.
Outwell 2018 Highlights
The new outwell range for 2018 is so vast I’m highlighting just a handful of my favourite accessories and tents which included the diminutive little Woodville 4 tent, some gorgeous cotton-feel sleeping bags and some fab new funky colours for 2018 across the whole Collaps range, as well as the addition of a new larger size kettle and a clever new water carrier.
Outwell Collaps Range
If you’ve not familiar with the Outwell Collaps range, let me tell you, it’s genius! Everything folds flat(ish) to help you save space, and for family campers and maximalist glampers like me, the ability to pinch a bit of space back is absolutely priceless! My Collaps kettle and washing up bowl have been going strong for the past 2 years and were a great little investment.
The full Outwell Collaps range.
The regular 1.5 litre kettle is at the front of the shot with the new larger 2.5 litre kettle behind it, RRP £44.99.
The Outwell water carrier is the newest member of the Collaps range RRP £32.99.
Matching children’s SIM from the popular Batboy and Girl range, back for 2018.
Outwell Camper Supreme Sleeping Bag
As well as loving the colour of the Camper Supreme Sleeping Bag, it’s a serious bit of kit. A 4 season sleeping bag that also looks funky and doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping inside an empty crisp packet wrapped tightly in selotape is a rare thing indeed!
Outwell Camper Supreme Sleeping Bag RRP £99.
Woodville 4 tent
This is a great little weekend tent. It provides standing height space. It’s easy to pitch and features longer than average bedrooms too so even though it’s a relatively small tent, it’s still spacious.
Outwell Woodville 4 tent RRP £349.99.
Lake Superior Inflatable Sofa
I think family campers will love this fab new Lake Superior inflatable sofa shown below. There’s also an armchair and even an ottoman in the range, all of which cleverly self-inflate in just a few seconds and are very comfy too.
Lake Superior Inflatable Sofa RRP £229.99.
Trelew Summer Chairs
I rather liked the bold new patterns seen across some of the Outwell 2018 furniture range, including these funky (and very comfortable!) Trelew moon chairs, which come in 3 sizes.
Trelew XL Summer RRP £69.99.
So there you have it, just some of the highlights from the 2018 ranges from Outwell, Robens and Easy Camp.
We’re super excited to see the new ranges now available, and we’ll also be reviewing several items from the range too so you’ll get to see what we make of the products when we actually come to use them.
