What did I think?
These Reef flip flips are actaully full grain leather sandals with a rubber sole. Unlike most flip flops I’ve had and the ones I normally use at the gym, these include an anatomical arch support. As someone who over pronates, flip flips don’t usually provide me with any support, and the only other decent leather sandals I’ve found in terms of arch supports are Birkenstocks, which design wise, certainly aren’t for everyone.
I’ve worn these (rather optimisitically!) on a few bright Autumn days out and about, and I’ve been using them for the past month at the gym, and I love them!
The size 6 is a good fit, there’s decent arch support and they look good too. I chose the white version, but they are also available in black and brown, and the white definitely looks good with dark skin or a tan – perfect if you’re planning on jetting off to seek some winter sun.
The verdict
A beautiful pair of sandals, and I feel calling them flip flops does them a bit of a disservice! The footbeds are lovely and soft as well as being shaped and supportive. They look great on, and they are leather too so will last for many years to come.
A big thumbs up from me!
On a side note, The Board Basement is definitely worth checking out, as a snowboarder I’ve been drooling over their snowboard range too – well worth a look for beach goers and lovers of boardsports.
Thank you to The Board Basement for providing the featured item for me to review.
